Voxatron
Voxatron is a fantastic platform shooter action adventure from a top down perspective with voxel graphics. Authentic old school fun with great level design and a completely destructible world. Now available for Windows, Mac and Linux! (I’ve already played the pre-alpha version from 2 weeks ago and I can tell you the game is great)
Scoregasm
Scoregasm is finally released and I can tell you that this is one of the best arena shooters I have ever played (and I have played a lot of them). The game was over 2 years in development and it really shows: Smooth controls, super fun gameplay, colorful graphics, a great variety of levels and well thought out bullet patterns.
A defnite must have for shooter fans!
Pixel Purge
Pixel Purge is an arena shooter where you shoot enemies, collect pixels and upgrade your ship. It also has a story (that is told by a female voice actor in the beginning).
The Indie Game Legend
The Indie Game Legend is an arena shooter with RPG elements that features some indie game developers.
Ranger
Ranger is a nice top down shooter with an interesting mechanic: Only those enemies that are in your line of sight are visible. Your mission is to rescue hostages and bring them back to your base… and kill the enemies that get in your way. Due to the fact that ammo is limited it is required to use the weapons economically. Some baddies might be blown away with the shotgun, while a whole bunch of enemies might be best served with a hail of bullets from the good old minigun (and an occasional little grenade).
The video shows Mission 1-7.
Mission 7 starts at 30:40 and well…was pretty “interesting” with a shortage of ammo!
