Great list! I’m sure many aspiring indie groups will be able to use this as a starting point.
Quick suggestion for links:
-Under the game development section, adding a link to an Android dev kit would be good. I believe Coke and Code used the Java2D API for Legends of Yore, which should be easy enough to use as Android is based primarily on Java.
-A link to Unity3D (http://unity3d.com/). Though a Pro version is expensive, the indie version is free and still very robust and easy to use. The engine tries hard to bridge the gap between programmer and designer/graphics artist. I use it now for my games and love it (though it’s networking side lacks a little). I think it also allows for packaging the game to Windows, Mac OS X, and browser in the indie version. However, I think they request you buy a license after so many copies of your game are sold.
Again, great list! Bookmarked and will try to keep up with updates. I will spread the word.

Oh wow, this site really is something else! It’s like the resources site I’ve wanted to create for years now, but you actually did it. Bravo!
You can bet I’ll be sending people this way regularly, be it students or the various aspiring game developers who email me all the time.

How about educational resources? I’d recommend:
http://www.codecademy.com/
https://www.coursehero.com/
http://www.udacity.com/
https://www.coursera.org/
These are chock full of computer courses for web design and general programming and development as well as business resources. I’m also sure that http://mitx.mit.edu/ will have plenty of computer courses before too long.

Do you have a big list of indie studios? Just curious. THanks

You have a very well organized set of resources but are lacking regarding to asset creation using Sketchup such as shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekyROhih55M
Also, a well maintained list of free development server options supporting various types of online games would be helpful.
