The Idiot’s Guide to Marketing Your Indie Game which offers really good and free step-by-step advice about marketing your game and where to submit it.
It’s written by Michael Rose (one of the editors at IndieGames.com).
Furthermore check out indievision, a nice site which purpose is to “help promote the interests of indie development studios, and to provide information, advice & contacts essential for running a successful studio.”

Bad news, Project Moonchild has been officially dropped. Don’t expect it anytime soon, or even ever.
Good news, the developer is working on a new game very similar to this one, titled Momodora. And at least Momodora has a demo available.

What a fantastic graphical overhaul that’s gone through! Looks much more like a proper Professional game, now. (compared to your earlier screenshots)
This could easily sit alongside the classic Mascot-Platformers of the time.

I have to be honest.. It looks kind of boring. :(
Which is a shame because the art itself is done pretty well. But the movements just don’t feel right. Her run is more like a hop and skip than anything and everything has a sort of chunky rubber-band feel. Which can work when used here and there, but on everything it just seems.. Odd, unresponsive. That and the music was pretty lame for a boss fight with a big chain-gun-tusked mastodon. :(
