Vertex is a nice exploration platformer with two switchable characters: A guy that shoots a short ranged flame and a double jumping girl with a mighty bow that shoots blue fireballs. The current demo includes some sort of short tutorial and the garden level with a boss fight.
It has nice graphics and the controls are also pretty good but the attack system might need some work. I also found that the bees weren’t very friendly and fair (watch them swirling around and attacking at 7:10 in the video… tsk tsk tsk)
Unfortunately it doesn’t has any sounds yet but since this is an early work in progress it will surely have music and sfx later on.
After all it’s a nice game that shows some good potential.

Wow, i can feel a lot of love in this game! The Retro pixel graphics are nice too. I missed the music / sound in the trailer (is there sound). Gonna download the game NOW. Well done so far.
yes nice one! Played it (did not beat the first boss – the dragon…) But all in all nice (there was a little bug while reloading after i died… some text appeared). But its fun!! I like it a lot.
