Project Moonchild is a nice looking Cave Storyesque exploration action platformer.
Beside shooting you can also use your feet for close combat kicks.
Plus you can walk on the ceiling with magnetic shoes.
Promising project.

The story is about a world fated to rot because the Moon is disappearing. A girl is sent by the Moon Goddess to revert the situation and save this world.
It’s inspired by a lot of my favorite games, such as Metroid, Mega Man, Zelda and Cave Story. It is a platformer shooter with some background story and focused on exploration and action.

I thought there was a demo though?
there was a demo but it was removed. since the game progressed pretty much the demo doesn’t represent it’s current state anymore…
i asked the developer about the situation yesterday and he said that there will be no new demo cause the game is almost complete…therefore the next release will be the full version.

Okay, good news and bad news.
Bad news, Project Moonchild has been officially dropped. Don’t expect it anytime soon, or even ever.
Good news, the developer is working on a new game very similar to this one, titled Momodora. And at least Momodora has a demo available.
