Knightly In The Dark Forest is a charming horizontal shooter in which you control a little knight. You have 2 different shooting styles: Normal wide spread swords by tapping the shoot button or the focused sword attack by holding the button down. Moreover you can also absorb the bullets with your shield and convert them into bonus points…Bullet Hell style.
The current demo features one level with a boss fight as you can see from the gameplay video.

Although the demo is more than a year old the game isn’t canceled. I just asked the developer and he said that he is currently working on several other projects but he definitely wants to finish this game sometime…He is also working on an yet unannounced Beat em Up. The main character is Knightly and it will probably be featured on Pixel Prospector soon.
Wow, a shooter with real graphics, not abstract shapes, and that looks charming on top of it. I wish there were more like this.
