Treasure Adventure Game is a nice looking exploration platformer from the maker of the very promising but recently canceled Karma – The Game.
The current demo showcases a fine engine, nice well drawn graphics and a good soundtrack.
Moreover you can see a few actions from the gameplay video such as sailing, diving, shooting, jumping, gardening and…and a few dance moves that i’ve performed spontanously to the catchy music. Well no real dance moves…more silly jumping, crouching, shooting and walking (Nothing that should be done in a club ;)

Expansive non-linear world where you are guided by treasure maps that you will collect along the way. At first you will have a basic compass which will tell you your x and y coordinates and you will be able to travel “east” or “west” locating treasures by following your compass. When you get an upgraded compass (which will also give you a z coordinate) you will be able to travel to the background or foreground (north and south). I’m calling this 2 1/4D. I’m going to keep certain islands off limits until particular items or upgrades are found, etc. I also plan on making lots of references to famous nautical adventures in movies, tv and literature.
- You will have a sail boat that will allow you to travel between islands
- You will be able to dig treasure using a shovel or dive for treasure using a dive helmet (both items will have to be located first.
- Also, the main character has a hook hand which will be a part of the game’s story as well as influence gameplay elements.
