Epileptica Forte

Eplieptica Forte is a nice horizontal shooter where you take control of a pink dragon that defeats enemies with his weapons of love:
Hearts and a powerful rainbowlaser!
The name matches the gameplay pretty well since the screen flashes all the time due to the massive explosions…
The game has fine graphics, smooth controls and nice music.

The developer describes the game as follows:
“You’re a pink dragon who brings love, peace and happiness to the world by blowing everything up with exploding hearts and an exploding rainbowlaser!”

As the pink dragon you can fly but also walk and jump as soon as you touch the ground.
By tapping the shoot button you will fire off exploding hearts.
By holding the shoot button down you will use your rainbowlaser.
Once you collect a white orb you will level up your weaponry which means you can shoot longer and more powerful. (In the current demo you can obtain 4 level ups).
An enemy hit costs you 1 minute of your precious time (you start with 5 min in the beginning)
But the time can be refilled by collecting food of all variations (sweets,fruits and meat)

Note that you have to pay careful attention to your breath meter. Never let it run out of energy. If that should happen you are kinda breathless for a few seconds and aren’t be able to shoot in that time frame…

Moreover:
The game reminded me of 2 other fine games which are also currently in development:

• Love UP! is a colorful platform shooter in which love plays also a main role since you convert the enemies into friends by shooting them with hearts.
• Nothing is an atmospheric exploration platformer in which the main character shares some graphical similarities with the pink dragon from Epileptica Forte.
