Capsized is a platform shooter in which you are equipped with a jetpack and the good old grappling hook…and weapons of course.
It features nice detailed handdrawn 2D graphics, mouse aiming and some fine physics.
It’s from the same developers that also made the fast paced First Person Shooter Nexuiz
update:
i thought it would be freeware like their previous game Nexuiz but to be sure i just asked the developer about that and he responded: That it will be not a freeware game but available via “…Steam for a small price”.
Probably worth it i think.
From the homepage:
We are also looking for a small amount of play testers who can give a lot of good feedback on their experience playing the game (mostly gameplay related rather than bug searching). The game is currently Windows only, with plans for an Xbox360 release. If you have time to post detailed information on your criticisms of the game, and have a long history in gaming and interest in retro gaming, you can email here to apply to be a play tester.
This one looks so awesome. One negative is that it seems a bit too hardcore for mouse-aim, but maybe that’s just me… Core gameplay looks cool, awesome artwork too!
if he makes multyplayer it would kick ass (the mostars looks a lot like the flood from halo)
Kinda reminds me of Metroid but underwater and that’s a good thing!
Are you sure this is freeware?
The artwork looks really good but I was saddened to see that its so repetitive. Seems like there are no real changes in scenery in the whole game, at least they haven’t shown any.
Wow. Really looks nice.
Reminds me of Exile! Excellent!
i can’t wait for this game to come out!
would love a Mac version, but i guess i’ll just have to settle for XBox360
