Sim War 5 is a great frantic top down shooter. The graphical style combines a 3D view with pixelated sprites.
Looks fantastic! Plays fantastic!
The game offers real back-to-the-roots-action.

It has also a fine splitscreen co-op mode!
Just go to the options menu and choose “players: duo”

Extra Tip:
I highly recommend to play this game with a dual analog gamepad.
(I use a Logitech Rumblepad 2.)
If you decide to play with keyboard you gotta use WASD for movement, V to shoot and B to strafe.
wow it was pretty amazing the only thing i would like to be mouse controlled but it would lost the 2 player mode soo
well, it’s also possible to have keyboard + mouse.
just check the options menu.

-first press enter
-then you can choose the “World” with up and down arrows. (eg “Virtual Reality”)
-then press the right arrow to switch over to the “Area” (eg “Open”)
-now you can start the game by pressing enter

-this seems to be a gamemaker problem i assume…don’t know what to do here but a google search shows that you are not the only one having that problem.
however if it should be a windows vista (or windows 7) problem there are known issues with those and game maker games.
(games made with game maker prior to version 7 are incompatible)

i have checked the program and wanted to see what happens when i patch the game, but it says that sim war v is already vista compatible…
It ran fine on my desktop. This isnt a very high quality 3d game but still ran rather slow in enhanced mode.
Had to turn to simple. Fullscreen would be nice as well, not just resolution change.
Fun game though :)

Well, I don’t know as for others, but for me resolution change works as a fullscreen. By the way, am I the only one who don’t have music in the game and thinks that traut is more dangerous and stronger, than sand worm?
maybe its just my HD screen that isnt scaling then.
Though I’m sure there are some more pros for Traut then Sandworms those are few. What you have to keep in mind is 1. Sand Worms can NOT be killed when they are in the ground or shot at by a grenade launcher.
2.Sandworms Insta-kill anything they attack and that can be more then one unit, and even turrets.
If you play as the Durhan in the more crowded levels you can tell that the sandworms do a lot often because the sand worms are able to defend spawn points even when you got four or more guys.
@t Teknogames: I waited a long time and I’m glad to see it out! I hope that we make more sim wars and eventually get to the “Tenth” like we were talking about XD
woop ment that worms can BE killed by grenade launchers/explosions any thing else dosn’t work when they are underground
this game is too good for words! I watched the video and thought it looked great but playing was 10 times better, im instantly hooked. There are alot of ways you could easily expand and make the game even better. Vehicles, more soldier types/weapons, a campaign , online mode, etc. Great game anyways, can’t wait to play some more!

that error mostly pops up when a computer has RAM issues…
but this pc does NOT have ram problems… so it’s strange.

I tryed to config the gamepad (Logitech dual) and i just can configure the aiming stick, the it says “choose a shoulder for shooting” and i press any button but nothing happens! good game though.

i would suggest to restart your computer and try it again.
its simple and easy and sometimes it solves such problems.
(maybe there are some ram issues or windows has just mixed things up…)
