Joe Snow is a nice looking one screen platformer remake of the same titled DOS Game from 1991. You control the little Joe Snow and have to reach the exit in each stage.
In order to get to the exit you have to pay careful attention to not beeing melted by the obstacles on your way: Each obstacle decreases your energy while the coins and diamonds replenish it again.
Since the demo is from May 2008 some may think that this is a sign that the game might be canceled… but i can tell you that it’s still in development:
Joe Snow is about 66% completed according to the project page and currently in closed beta testing phase.

It’s Kirby’s arctic cousin! Nah, just kidding, looks good though. I’m always up for a good platformer. I must try it out for my self.
