Castlevania – The Bloodletting is a faithful tribute to the Castlevania series. It’s certainly one of the most polished Castlevania fan games that i have seen yet. It almost feels like a real Castlevania title with it’s 2 years in development.
Info:
You need to know how to perform regular and long backflips in order to jump over big gaps.
normal backflip = press jump button twice.
long backflip = perform normal backflip and then press the direction you are backflipping to increase the length of the jump.
For more detailed info please consider to check out the readme.

the .txt file readme wasn’t included with my download.. can you either link me to it or post the default control settings? thanks in advance!
Didn’t noticed your comment earlier…
Anyway here are the controls:
______________________________________________________________________________
At the beginning of the game, the default setting for your controls is to the keyboard. You can however change your control setting to a USB control pad/joystick by press the number “0″. This will launch the interface to either select a joystick/control pad or redefine your keyboard controls. To change to joystick just click to X the joypad box. To redefine your keyboard controls, click the X again on the appropriate box.
—DEFAULT CONTROLS—
Arrow Keys – Move Harker
Shift – Whip
Control – Jump
Z – Subweapon
X – Item Crash
—BACKFLIP—
The backflip has three different variants. Experiment with the backflip and practice it as much as you can till you feel comfortable. The game has been slightly redesigned to where it will only be required in very few places
—REGULAR BACKFLIP—
To do a simple backflip, press the jump button and then tap it again to launch into a backflip. It can only be launched at the climax of the player’s jump, not while ascending or descending.
—LONG BACKFLIP—
To do a long backflip, proceed as normal doing a backflip, however while backflipping, press the direction your character is moving into. For example, Harker is facing to the right and you launch a backflip, this will move him to the left, hold the left direction on your keyboard or joypad and this will lengthen the distance Harker backflips.
—SHORT BACKFLIP—
To do a short backflip, as stated earlier, do a normal backflip but hold the opposite direction in which Harker is moving. For example, if Harker is facing to the right and you launch a backflip sending him towards the left, hold right on your joypad or keyboard and this will short the distance of the backflip.
It is very important you learn how to backflip properly and get it as much as possible mastered as it will come in handy very often to evade enemys and their attacks.
—SLIDE—
Harker also has the ability to do a slide to help evade quickly from enemy attacks. To execute a slide, hold down to crouch and press the Jump button. This will send Harker sliding into the direction in which he faces. Harker may also traverse smaller gaps with a slide as he will glide across smaller holes, but beware, larger gaps will cause Harker to fall downward. Occasionally when you slider from platform to platform if they are uneven by even 1 pixel Harker will jump upwards into the air, do not be alarmed, but be wary of your gap sliding.
